Super 8 help!!!

I received a free GAF ANSCOMATIC ST/88, but I need to know how to make a battery pack, because the one in it was broken.

Also, I received a free KEYSTONE K-560M Dual 8 projector for free, but it will not feed the film into it.

All help would be appreciated

I dont know anything about these items, but what batterys does it take? If its HP7's (like mine takes) then you can buy plastic 'clip' packs from model shops and you could just rewire that in, IF thats all thats wrong with the camera.

If your projector isnt taking up film then perhaps the sprocket gears are broken, or missing teeth? If so I expect its expensive/touble to fix.
Are you sure the projector is the right size for your film? Im not sure what DUAL 8 means, but it doesnt sound like super8.
Some 8mm projectors have a switch on them so you can alternate between super 8 or standard 8 on the same projector.

Try posting this message on the super8 forum on this message board, they all seem to know their stuff pretty well.

Dual 8, is 8MM not super 8, a dual 8 camera takes 16MM gauage film (not to be confused with actual 16mm) and you film down one side then you flip the film canister around and film down the other half of the tape, then in the lab they split it straight down the middle and joun it up

Dual 8 isn't a gauge. It's typical for late model projectors to say "Dual-8", which means they will run both Super-8, and DOUBLE-8. That's what the little switch is for...

Dual 8, contrary to all above is a projector reference to being able to run both standard 8mm (the old format) and Super8mm. Double8mm is the raw 16mm stock for use in Standard 8mm roll cameras whilst Double Super8mm is a professional 16mm roll format for Super8mm mainstream production. As for your projector, check the feed sprokets or the internal band or cog drives to ensure they are engaging the system
